Pastor’s Wives Ministry
This committee plans events during the year for the minister’s wives of Southern Baptists in West Virginia.
In the spring the group offers an annual weekend retreat for minister’s wives, usually in the month of May held at the Rippling Waters Campground. The ladies enjoy a program presented sometimes by visiting speakers and sometimes from within the group. They enjoy special music presented in the meetings and there are usually gift bags for the minister’s wives provided by the convention.
In the summer the group plans and provides a separate session for wives at Shepherding the Shepherd which is a retreat and conference for the entire family. At this meeting, youth and children sessions are held and there is a nursery for preschoolers.
The annual meeting of the convention is held the first weekend in November each year at various churches across the state. Again, the Fellowship provides a special program for wives during the Pastor’s Conference at the annual meeting and a dinner for the couples.
The newsletter for the group is entitled Seasons, and it is sent to members and interested persons twice a year. To be placed on the mailing list, call the Baptist Building (1-800-411-5758) and ask for Kim Koletka. Tell her you would like to receive Seasons.
If you have any questions about this ministry, please feel free to contact us through the state convention office.
