Chainsaw Level 1 and Fixed Site Feeding
When disaster strikes, WV SBC Disaster Relief volunteers are often among the first to respond, bringing help, healing, and hope to those in need. Join us for hands-on training, including Chainsaw Level 1 and Fixed Site Feeding, to gain valuable skills and serve on mission with other WV Southern Baptists.
Chainsaw Level 1 Certification is for those who wish to use a chainsaw on a WVDR team. This course covers limbing trees that are already on the ground and includes both a classroom portion and a hands-on exercise.
Fixed Site Feeding is for those who want to deploy with a feeding team to provide meals for volunteers in the field. Participants will learn how to plan and prepare meals in an unfamiliar kitchen.
*NOTE: To attend the Chainsaw Level 1 class, participants MUST have completed the Chainsaw Safety course. Without it, they will not be allowed to attend. Additionally, the class requires a minimum of six registered participants to proceed; otherwise, it will be canceled. Registration closes on Monday, March 10th.
