WV Southern Baptist leaders, we need your assistance in enlisting disaster relief volunteers to help with mud-out and chainsaw work in Cameron, West Virginia.
Pastor Michael Kelly of Cameron Baptist Church is a Southern Baptist Disaster Relief Blue Hat and is serving as the point of contact.
DISASTER SUMMARY: On June 21 and 22, parts of Cameron, West Virginia were flooded by rainfall, runoff and out-of-banks tributaries.
CURRENT NEED: As of June 23, 2021, requests have been received for 10 mud outs and two chainsaw jobs. Requests are expected to grow to 30 mud outs and 10 chainsaw jobs.
HOUSING: Cameron Baptist Church is prepared to sleep 50 volunteers. Restroom and shower facilities are available in the church building. An additional shower trailer is already onsite.
