The West Virginia Convention of Southern Baptists (WVCSB) is now receiving applications for the position of Executive Director-Treasurer.
This role serves as the chief executive officer of the WVCSB, providing visionary leadership, spiritual encouragement, and administrative oversight to help fulfill the mission of making Jesus known in and through West Virginia. The Executive Director-Treasurer supports churches and associations, strengthens ministry partnerships, promotes Cooperative Program faithfulness, and represents the WVCSB across the Southern Baptist Convention.

Qualifications Summary

Spiritual and Theological: A mature follower of Christ with a clear calling to serve; committed to the Great Commandment, the Great Commission, and affirming the Baptist Faith & Message 2000.

Educational: A theological degree from an accredited institution is required (master’s minimum; doctorate preferred).

Experience and Doctrinal Alignment: At least 10 years of vocational ministry experience and a deep understanding of Southern Baptist doctrine, polity, and cooperation.

Leadership and Communication: Demonstrated ability in visionary leadership, strategic planning, staff development, and serving as a public representative of a ministry or organization.

Relational and Missional Heart: Emotionally intelligent and relationally skilled; committed to strengthening churches and associations, promoting Cooperative Program partnerships, fostering unity, and championing local and global Great Commission work.
