Three high school girls will embark on an eight-day short-term missionary journey to Belize in the summer of 2024, collaborating with missionaries, local nationals, and American students to share the gospel, lead children’s sports camps, and share their personal salvation testimonies.
This initiative, a collaboration between the West Virginia Convention of Southern Baptists (WVCSB) and WVCSB Women On Mission (WMU), aims to:
1. Place more intentionality on cultivating a new generation of Christ-centered, gospel sharing and mission advocating moms, businesswomen, missionaries, and pastor wives.
2. Affirm the value and necessity of girls and young women in our region within God’s kingdom, his church, and his mission.
Three high school girls (completed 9th grade to recent graduates) will serve as Southern Baptist short-term missionaries for eight days in Belize.
The long-term vision is to establish a West Virginia high school girls sports camp team and competitive sports team, traveling internationally each summer.
