IN + THROUGH is a three year vision for West Virginia Convention of Southern Baptists to increase cooperation among our churches, and attempt great things for God, as we transition from a mission field to a family on mission.
We are asking each and every WVCSB church to be a part of this exciting time in our convention’s history and invest boldly in all levels of praying, serving, growing, and giving financially to further God’s vision for our state (in) and around the globe (through).
As a result, the Ola Cox State Missions Offering and SBC Cooperative Program giving will be promoted equally. Both fuel ministry and our mission to make Jesus known in and through West Virginia.
A combined focus on the Ola Cox State Missions Offering + SBC Cooperative Program generosity
Everything we do will be evaluated through the lens of making Jesus known in and through West Virginia and building a sense of cooperation and family. This includes our usual Ola Cox State Missions Offering emphasis during the month of September and Cooperative Program giving throughout the year.
West Virginia Southern Baptists are grateful for Ola Cox. It was her work that inspired naming the state missions offering in her honor in 1973. Ola Cox believed God generously gives us everything we have, including our lives. Ola’s life challenges us to give everything back to God, so that his Kingdom can be multiplied in every way, and we get to be a part of that blessing.
