With the Pastor & Family Retreat paused until 2026, a limited number of pastors and their families can receive a special getaway this summer. The deadline to apply is April 30.
Providing Rest for Pastors and Their Families
Due to the Executive Director transition and the demands of summer and fall responsibilities with a lean staff, we have made the difficult decision to pause the WVCSB Pastor & Family Retreat for 2025, with plans to resume in 2026.
However, we recognize that some pastors and their families rely on this bi-annual retreat not only for rest and renewal but also as their summer vacation, making the financial break especially meaningful. To continue strengthening pastors as resources allow, we are launching the WVCSB Pastor Family Getaway Blessing—an opportunity for a limited number of pastor families to enjoy a two-night getaway at a West Virginia state lodge.
What Is the WVCSB Pastor Family Getaway Blessing?
Each of our nine associations will receive TWO Getaway Blessings to award to pastors who would most benefit. Selected families will receive:
* Two-night stay at a West Virginia state lodge (Pipestem, Canaan, Cacapon, or Stonewall)
* A gift card to assist with food, gas, and activities: $200 for a couple; $300 for a family with children
How to Apply
If your family would benefit from this opportunity, submit your request by April 30 using the form here:
Important: This is a limited opportunity, and each association (including non-associated WVCSB churches) will select only TWO families to receive the getaway. Submitting a request does not guarantee selection.
Next Steps and Timeline
April 30 – Application deadline
May 14 – Each associational leader will review applications and select families
July 6-20 – Getaways available anytime during this timeframe for selected families
Healthy Pastors Lead Healthy Churches
By creating space for pastors to step away, reset, and be refreshed, we strengthen the work of the gospel in and through West Virginia. While we wish we could offer this opportunity to every pastor, we hope that for those who need it most, this time away will be a true blessing.
